If we have a signature dish then it has to be Point Five, it’s the first yarn we ever created and like all great ideas it’s still running to this day. Based on a hand spun look this is a super chunky slub yarn (thick and thin). In each skein there is 100g of 100% wool which gives you 50m/54yd of yarn. It’s big, bold and perfect for the beginner knitter to warm their needles on.

We dye our yarns in small batches in our dye workshop in Marlborough, UK. Colours may vary from skein to skein. We dye in small pots and even within a single pasta pot skeins can differ, it is all part of the wonder of what we do. So the conventional idea of dye lots really does not exist at Colinette. This is part of the charm of a hand painted yarn. If you buy more than one then we will do our best to match them as closely as possible. We take great care in photographing our yarns, but some colours may vary slightly.
